The ongoing squabble between the USA and Cuba has continued into the Bush Administration years. The Carter era was the most lenient towards Cuba. Mr. Carter's era was quickly replaced by the conservative Reagan era. Interestingly, politics are set aside with regard to Cuba and the USA in the area of meterology. Hurricane information is freely shared between Cuba and the USA. The opening of Cuba for licensed food and medical sales from USA providers as well as more aggressive bills to further ease or eliminate the Embargo suggest the political atmosphere between the USA and Cuba is, once again, in dynamic flux. The Bush Administration is looking for additional ways to tighten the Embargo against Cuba. |
